Was a very pleasant day at Macys very friendly workers and a special thanks to Eric he really stood out and made my day that much better. Such a pleasant handsome guy!
I went to buy some men's shoes, and I was standing around for almost 1/2 hour before anybody helped me. There was a man working there who ignored me completely, acting like I wasn't there, and a woman who seemed annoyed that she had to do her job. I finally got the woman's attention to ask for my size in a pair of shoes, and she quickly came back and said "no, we don't have that size." Then she went in back and disappeared. No "sorry about that," or "can I help you with something else," or anything like that. I felt like I was in their way just by being a customer and needing help. Other departments might be okay, but the men's shoe department really needs a lot of work. Needless to say, I took my business elsewhere.
Went to return/exchange a jacket and coat in children's department. When I found someone she told me she was a seasonal worker and she didn't know much. I asked where the regular workers were and she said, if they would come to work. I asked how much were they being paid and she didn't know. She told me where the coats were...from that I gathered I wasn't going to get much help from her so I told her that I wanted to just return them and go back home. She sensed I was getting frustrated and decided to help...a little. I then said I just want to return them now. I told her that's why I don't come in the store much. She tried to convince me that coming in the store was a good thing. I said no, not from what I've experienced today. After she finished the return. I told her that I was the kind of customer that would go online and report about my experiences in the store. She asked that I at least say that the seasonal workers worked hard.....I said, girlllllll. Then I went to the ladies' under garments department. I was approached by an associate there who asked if I wanted to be fitted for a bra. She was nice so I did. At least two other ladies began to help me as I got fitted for vanity fair bras. A very pleasant experience. Purchased two bras, two pair of panties, and a half slip. Moved on to the purse department where I was asked first by a man, which I found out layer wad the floor mamager, if I was doing ok. Then two other associates began to assist me. I left without purchasing a purse. And that was my day at Macys today.
Love the sectional and chair I recently ordered from Joybird. The midcentury style looks great in our modern/industrial office.
Found an item on sale that i had been looking for and saved me some money. Clerk's are always very courageous and helpful. Thanks Macy's
It does take several weeks to get the furniture once ordered (it's custom!), but worth the wait!
